Assistance with registration and the preparation of entries
Deadline for entries
Information
- Anyone from anywhere in the world may enter the competition.
- Entrants must be at least 18 years old and have the appropriate qualifications.
- Models must be at least 16 years old.
- Entrants may compete in every category.
- A competitor may enter a category more than once but may win only once in that category, with their highest-scoring entry.
- The entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- The entry fee is also non-refundable if an entry is not submitted on time or if the wrong category or experience level is selected.
- If two entrants tie in a category, the judges for that category will decide the result. Two entrants will never receive the same placing.
- We cannot accept entries after the entry period has closed.
- Categories cannot be changed after registration.
- Competition entries must not appear on any social media platform before the results are announced.
- If a category has too few entrants, the organizer reserves the right to combine experience levels. The lower level will always be combined with the next higher level.
- We accept only high-quality images in JPG, JPEG or HEIC format.
- Every participant will receive a digital certificate.
- Three placings will be awarded in each category. To place, an entrant must achieve at least 80% of the total available points in that category.
- Competitors who place will receive a trophy and a sponsor package. We cover shipping costs within Hungary; winners outside Hungary are responsible for international shipping costs.
- We will contact every winner after the results are announced.
- The judges’ decisions are final after the results are announced.
- The Grand Prix goes to the competitor who enters at least five categories and achieves the highest combined percentage score. Competitors may enter additional categories to improve their chances, but only their five highest percentage scores will count. The Grand Prix winner receives a €500 cash prize and the overall winner’s trophy.
- Once we receive the entry fee, we will email a link to an individual Google Drive folder, which will remain open until the submission deadline. Images of the competition entries must be uploaded there, organized by category.
- After receiving the entry fee, the organizer will issue an electronic invoice and send it to the entrant’s email address.
- Sharing entries with judges or attempting to influence their work in any way is strictly prohibited. Proven interference with the judges will result in immediate disqualification.
- Photos and checklists must not contain any marks or text that could identify the entrant.
- Photo retouching is prohibited. Cropping is the only permitted edit.
- Competitors may enter a higher experience level, but entering below their eligible level is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
- Using Promade lashes will result in disqualification, except in the Promade and Special Promade categories.
- Posting competition entries before the results are announced will result in disqualification.
Dreamlashes Online Competition aims to ensure that every competitor competes at a level that reflects their actual professional experience.
Entry levels:
JUNIOR
0–2 years of professional experience
MASTER
2–3 years of professional experience
EXPERT
More than 3 years of professional experience
Professional experience is always calculated up to the date of entry into the competition.
⸻
WHICH CERTIFICATE DATE COUNTS?
1D CATEGORY
In the 1D category, we use the date on which the competitor completed their first basic 1D training course.
The entry level is therefore determined by the time between the date of the certificate for that first basic 1D course and the date of entry into the competition.
The relevant date is when the competitor completed the basic course, not when they began studying or practicing.
PROMADE CATEGORY
In the Promade category, we also use the date of the competitor’s first basic eyelash extension training course.
The date of Promade training or a Promade certificate does not determine the entry level. The date of the first basic eyelash extension course does.
For example, a competitor who completed basic training four years ago but learned the Promade technique only one year ago may enter the Promade category at Expert level.
⸻
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CERTIFICATE
A competitor may have completed basic training without receiving a certificate or another document confirming the date of the course.
In that case, the absence of a certificate does not, by itself, prevent the competitor from entering.
If no certificate can establish the training date, we consider when the competitor began actively working in the profession.
The entry level will then be determined through an individual assessment.
The organizer may request:
* the competitor’s current professional Instagram profile;
* photographs of previous and current work;
* where possible, older examples of work that help establish when the competitor gained professional experience;
* further information about the competitor’s professional background.
The organizer may determine the appropriate entry level using the available information, the competitor’s professional experience and the quality of the work presented.
The absence of a certificate does not automatically place a competitor in the Junior level.
⸻
INDIVIDUAL ASSESSMENT
A competitor may have completed their first basic course years ago but not begun working in the profession afterward, or may have stopped working in it entirely for an extended period.
If they later completed another basic course or a basic refresher course and began actively working only after that, they may request an individual assessment of their entry level.
The following are required:
* the original certificate from the first basic course;
* the certificate from the later basic or refresher course;
* the current professional Instagram profile or recent photographs of their work;
* a brief explanation of how long they were not actively working after the first course and when they began working in the profession.
Completing another basic or refresher course does not, by itself, reset the calculation of professional experience.
The purpose of individual assessment is to let competitors compete at a level that reflects their actual professional experience when the date of their first certificate does not accurately reflect their active work history.
Based on the submitted documents, information and work, Dreamlashes Competition reserves the right to review and make the final determination of the entry level.
⸻
TRAINERS AND FORMER JUDGES
Regardless of the length of their professional experience, the following people may enter only at Expert level:
* anyone who teaches professionally;
* anyone who has previously served as a judge in a professional competition.
In these cases, an individual assessment cannot result in a Junior or Master classification.
⸻
PREVIOUS COMPETITION RESULTS
Results in previous Hungarian or international competitions do not affect the entry level.
The number of competitions previously entered, first, second or third place finishes, and any Grand Prix, special prize or other professional award won do not affect the entry level.
A previous competition win does not, by itself, move a competitor to a higher entry level.
⸻
COMBINING ENTRY LEVELS
At least eight entrants are required for an entry level to remain separate within a discipline.
If fewer than eight competitors enter at a given level, Dreamlashes Competition reserves the right to combine it with the next higher level.
Junior → Master level
Master → Expert level
If levels are combined, the affected competitors will be evaluated and ranked together.
Affected competitors will be informed of any combination of levels after the entry period closes.
⸻
INCORRECT ENTRY LEVEL AND DISQUALIFICATION
Competitors are responsible for selecting the correct entry level.
Anyone unsure of their eligible level or seeking an individual assessment must contact the organizer before submitting their entry.
If it later becomes clear that a competitor entered at a level that does not comply with these rules or failed to disclose material information affecting their entry level, this will result in:
AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION.
If the breach is discovered only after the results are announced, the competitor’s result and placing will be invalidated and their placing withdrawn.
Dreamlashes Competition will publish the disqualification and revised results on its official Instagram page.
The disqualified competitor’s placing in that discipline will pass to the next eligible competitor with the highest score. Other placings will be adjusted accordingly if necessary.
By submitting an entry, competitors accept the entry, classification, level-combination and disqualification conditions above.
